Pink Sparkle apple tree is thought to be one of Albert Etter’s apples found in an old orchard near Whale Gulch, in Northern California by Ram and Marissa Fishman. The Pink Sparkle apple has a distinctive upside down shape, broad base narrow at the stem. Pink Sparkle apples develop a red striped skin when ripe, flesh is deep pink, but varies according to climate. Tart mildly sweet with distinctive aromatic flavor.
